Which scientific concepts are known to and used by all people who have never taught nor even studied science? [~]

(This is being asked especially for those science professor types who cannot seem to envision realms of knowledge that are not immediately obvious or apparent to them.)

    I think everybody will use basic math at some point in their lives, even outside of school.
    In fact, if you attempt to reconcile a paystub to a time card, you are likely to use algebra.

    If you've ever floated an object in a liquid, you've used the theory of liquid displacement - generally without thinking about such.
