What are your thoughts of a pig's heart transplant to a human?

Pig heart transplant

Recipient may acquire memory of having been a pig.
Can an organ transplant change a recipient's personality? Cell memory theory affirms "yes!"

So if you are an organ donor could part of you still be alive in the recipient?

I think that if this works, it will be wonderful for all those on the transplant list.  Do I think it should have been given to a convicted felon?  Let him be the guinea pig (so to speak).  If he dies, no big loss.

Oink! It might turn the recipient into a real ham.

I met a man in a grocery store checkout line once who told me he had a pig's heart and was told he would not live more than a few months.  At that time (2015ish) he had lived over two years with his pig heart.

Wow, and here I was thinking that my pick-up lines were good! This guy is golden!

Well, he was in a wheelchair with an oxygen tube in his nose.  Not really golden but I was polite and he thought that meant I would like to hear his story.  Actually, I was amazed.  He had a personal assistant with him.

Your comment caused me to have a tear.....of laughter.  :)

Men are already pigs, so the transplant should work quite well.

I hope it can do a great deal of good. But it also brings to mind what Danilo Kiš once said in an interview (in the 1980s, I believe). I'll include the original and try to translate it below:

Kad budu svi roktali svojim svinjskim srcima, poslednji koji će još gledati ljudskim očima i osećati ljudskim srcem biće oni kojima ne bejaše strano iskustvo umetnosti.

"When they all end up oinking with their swine hearts, the last who will still look with human eyes and feel with a human heart will be they to whom the artistic experience isn't foreign."

So, to address your question in the description - I think we've been pigs for a long time!
