EXCLUDING bad manners, what is an eating habit you display that is weird, strange, odd, funny, or quirky?

All my life, I’ve been a slow eater. It’s not uncommon when I’m eating something at the same time as others that I often finish last. This is true whether or not it’s one other person or many other people, and the type or kind of food hardly matters either, and sometimes even non-comparative portion sizes make little difference. It’s not an intentional nor conscious act on my part.

      P. S. I hardly EVER take ice in my cold drinks. Cubed, crushed, shaved, etc., I do not like it.

(Add another similarity for me, along with the guac and mayonnaise.)

You and I must be more alike than we are different!

      Hey, wait a second . . .

  • It's unusual in my own country to put ice in drinks except at some American restaurants.

I don't eat anything with my fingers.  I always eat with a fork or spoon.  It's not odd to me but someone always says something about eating sandwiches, burgers, pizza, etc. with flatware.

I have a relative who NEVER uses metal silverware/flatware, will ONLY use plastic, and it has to be brand new still in its wrapper.

There are many cracks and crevices where bacteria live on silverware.  Just the bacteria transfer from the person who hands you the instruments is a risk. I have my own bacteria trauma from my past.  Those who have seen the unseen are more sensitive and cautious.

I am not afraid of such things. Bacterium are everywhere. Every breath you take...everything you touch. Metallic flat wear has free electrons floating hither and thither and are a deterrent to bacteria. More bacteria live in your cracks and crannies.

I just got done eating my barbequed-shredded-beef-and-melted provolone-on-a-warm-bun sandwich with a fork.

You had a sandwich like that and you didn’t call me? I’m beginning to re-evaluate this so-called “friendship”.  Grrrrrrr.

    You're probably right, darn.

In general. I'm not a huge fan of barbequed beef  but I was not the cook with this batch -- and I was pleasantly surprised with its taste!
But, "there's always the next time" for us! :)

Yeah! I admit i may have enjoyed it better with using the fork- - nothing fell out of the bun because I wasn't lifting it up and down with my hands with every bite. And the melted provolone cheese on the bottom of bottom bun -- it all just easily cut. Nice!
    :)
