When scammers have made enough money, do they simply just fade away into retirement and drop altogether out of the scamming business?

For sure but the longer they are involved in scamming there is the risk of getting caught.

They are not real people, they are sociopaths.

They're predators.  They pray on the trustingness of other people.

The Faux-Gold-Plated Tilde Sanitizing Kits I dumped on sold to you are legitimate cleaning products, and I resent being lumped in with criminals. Now can we expect your bi-weekly installment payment of $99.99 as agreed upon in the fine print, or will we have to turn this over to a collection agency? Grrrrrrr.

    :(

If you can find a collection agency smart enough to collect anything from me then I would hire them to collect on some of the debts owing to me.

Most of the scammers I've talked to sound like they're from India, maybe when they get too old for scamming their family takes them down to the Ganges River for a barbecue. ;)

I think they work in tandem, Nigeria and India.
