    I have never used MSG but one of these days when I spot it on a store shelf I'll grab a package of it. My mother began using MSG then would never cook again without it.

    I don't cook much, but when I do, all I use is salt, pepper, garlic powder and/or oregano.

    Heavens no.  I'm sensitive to it and ask waitresses to check  with the cook to not use it.
