    When I started driving gas was $0.99- $1.09 per gallon.

    It was $0.989/gallon.  That was in 2020 in the middle of the COVID lockdowns.

    The lowest I remember paying was when I moved to another part of the country and it was $.89/gallon. I remember it being just under $1.00 before that, but never in the 80-cent range.

  • I remember gasoline was about ARS 1,70 per litre when I had my first car in 2006.  The cheapest gasoline I saw this week was ARS 109,90 per litre.

    ARS 1,70 per litre in 2006 was equal to USD 1,62 per gallon.

    ARS 109,90 per litre today is equal to USD 3,71 per gallon.

    An Imperial gallon is also considerably more than a US gallon, too - 160oz as opposed to 128. The difference between an Imperial ounce and an American one isn't significant, but a British pint is 20oz, an American one is only 16.
