I do, of course, want to be fair. I wasn’t aware of Sam nor of his online piece; if it’s where you gleaned your information, that’s understandable as to why you went with it. I submit, however, that Sam is incorrect also in referring to them with an s on the end of the word, based on the example I cited with the word aircraft.
