I can't think of one who ran off with another woman and left six children, who neither saw, nor heard from him again. This post was edited by Element 99 at July 22, 2022 5:55 PM MDT

    I think I'll re-write the answer. It's awkward.

The comma after the word “saw” does not belong there.

Closest I can think of is Dan Conner but with a white collar job. This post was edited by Jaimie at July 22, 2022 5:55 PM MDT

Well I don't know who my daddy is but I like to think he would be a lot like Gomez Addams  from the Addams Family TV series. Cheers and happy weekend!

I tried to find a TV show that featured a completely absent dad, and the closest I could come to was the 1970s sitcom “One Day At A Time”, starring Bonnie Franklin, Mackenzie Phillips, and Valerie Bertinelli. However, I think that in later years of the show, there were at least a few episodes that featured a character introduced to the audience as the father making an attempt to get back together with the mother. I’m not sure if that’s accurate based on it being so long ago, I don’t really remember for sure.

Their dad was around, he just lived in another city. I remember an early episode where Julie ran away to try to live with her dad. Or maybe it was Barbara. I don't know. He wasn't a totally absent dad, though. They visited him.

Donald Trump is my father with money and social skills. Similar narcissism.

Jane, we have a lot in common in this regard.  Archie Bunker would be my pick, too.

My pick would be Archie Bunker, a mean version.
