I don't.  Supposedly, you are supposed to be able to find out who won it, but I'm sure they don't give an address.

I neither know of anyone nor know of anyone who knows of anyone else who won one.

No. Hey, I've never seen any "TRUE STORY: Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes Winners killed by their spouses for the money" or "Real Life Tragedy: Publisher's Clearing House Winners in Prison" either!

    Sure.  I've won a few times..........$10 and $20 prizes.

Since I have lived here the Prize Patrol has visited to give the big prizes a few times.  It's on the news and I hear others speak of it.  Back home I never heard of anyone around me winning PCH.  There used to be another (just like the other) called American Family Publishers who ran similar sweeps.  It is no more. I follow someone on tik tok that is always posting Mandela effects and I saw one the other day that said that Ed McMahan handing out big checks for Publishers Clearing House is just a Mandela effect and that never happened. He has no association with them. That one freaked me out Cos I swear I remember seeing those commercials with him in them when I was a kid.

That isn't true.  I'd get my info somewhere else.  Ed has been gone a long time.

Note:  As Jamie pointed out, my answer here is incorrect. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at June 20, 2022 2:51 PM MDT

He was never associated with Publishers Clearing House. I did research it after see that.

Perhaps you should do some research before claiming something is or isn’t true ;)

I looked it up.  You’re right about Ed McMahon never being associated with Publishers Clearing House.  Ed McMahon was the spokesperson for American Family Publishers, which was Publishers Clearing House’s competitor and ran a sweepstakes that was exactly like the one that Publishers Clearing House ran.  They were so similar that people confused the two with each other, so that’s probably why people think Ed McMahon handed out oversized checks from Publishers Clearing House.

I did read that too when I first heard about this  Mandela effect and went searching.  Hundreds  of people in the comment section on the post I mentioned in my answer  were freaking out over the fact he wasn’t with Publishers Clearing house lol. Most people associate him with them. Even the fake check in the pic on this tread has an “Ed McMahon” signature. This one is worse for me than the Bernstein Bears one.

lol. The check the woman’s holding isn’t a real oversized Publishers Clearing House check.  It’s just a Halloween costume (date on check, website in lower left corner of pic).  Candice B. Fureal?  Umm, no.

It’s fitting for a Halloween costume that Ed McMahon came back from the dead to sign that check.

I thought it was a good costume also, but she didn’t win.  I totally would’ve voted for her.

Weird, now the spirit of Ed McMahon has been haunting me for some reason.  Wednesday afternoon, I was watching TV and the characters on the TV show I was watching were having this exact same discussion about Ed McMahon.  Then, yesterday morning, Ed McMahon was the answer to the trivia question on the morning news.

If he’s going to haunt me, then he should just hand over the money to me.

Be careful what you wish for.  The grand prize may be delivered at a, shall we say, inopportune time...

No I don't.  Now that's a lot of money, bless her heart. I'd faint if I won that much.  This this is a fake, too many 0's.
