Cash registers still exist.

So do candy cigarettes.   They just call them candy sticks. There is a Halloween candy package that has them every year. 

And my daughter who graduated in 2013 had Home Economics  in high school. 

Do they still call it Home Ec?

I had to change my answer because I missed home ec on that list.  I had it in elementary school, which was basically cooking class.

I think it may have had another name. But it was home ec.  Cooking, sewing and they had to take care of an egg like it was a baby. 

I had to look up the egg thing.  We didn’t have that in elementary school home ec, but we had robobabies in high school health class.  My partner was a deadbeat dad for that project.  I told the health teacher he owed me child support.

Maybe I should’ve confessed to him that it wasn’t his. 

Our schools are too cheap to buy the robo-babies. 

I think my school district was too cheap to buy the robobabies also.  I can’t prove it, but I suspect they kidnapped them from the robot parents.  It warrants further investigation.

During the 1960s, Cornell University and New York State changed the name from the NYS College of Home Economics to the NYS College of Human Ecology, which has degree programs in fields such as Industrial Design.

Lol.  Did you ever see the cigarette gum.  It was rolled up gun with a powder on it and the a paper rolled around it.  Looked like a Paul Mall (no filter). When you first got one, you could blow through it and the powder would come out and look like smoke.  

I don't remember that.
