I didn't know this term so a I looked it up on Urban Dictionary.

Lining someone out is not the same as laying someone out. 

You can line someone/thing out verbally....correcting them. 

"Laying someone out" is "to hit someone so hard that they fall down and become unconscious"

Read closer....I did not use the term "lay out" that was Echoos. 

I used the term "line out"....meaning to correct someone/something.   

Oh ok so you would just get up in some 82-year-old woman's face... Yeah that's it show Grandma who's boss..

I would let her know to keep her hands/elbows off of children.  
I would not have to be in the her face to do that....I also would not have to scream. 

People can voice their opinion without violence, or screaming someone's face.  I have done this my entire life.
