Why should they not have the right to be protected from unlawful search and seizure, the right not to incriminate themselves, the right to an attorney, habeas corpus, the right to a fair and speedy trial and a jury trial?

My belief is those rights belong to citizens only.

YYYes, because this the person was only arrested for a crime - not convicted.

Yes, but we should just send them back to their country. Or if a serious crime, after conviction and prison time then send them back.

Not all taxes are on income. Sales tax, for example.

So they have to prove they bought something to recieve rights?
A tourist's child who has no money....has no rights?

According the the Constitution, a person who is under the jurisdiction of the USA gets Constitutional rights.   So if the person is expected to follow our laws.....they recieve our rights. (Unless the right is specifically limited to citizens of the USA.)

If they must obey US laws, (like US citizens) then they should be given the same rights as everyone else.
