From you I'd have expected Metallica.

At one time yes, they were the favorite.

    As was Poison before them.

    But current fave is Skillet.

Does this include musical acts that are not necessarily groups of people? Some acts or musical entities are made up of one person as the front runner or the known name, without a group identified along with him or her. If it’s allowed, I’m ready with 26 entries, some of the are individual people, others are groups or bands:

Aliyah, Björk, Coolio, Dino, Enya, Fabian, Guy, Hansen, Iris, Jodeci, Kansas, Lulu, Moesha, Najee, Oasis, Petra, Quarterflash, Rihanna, Shakira, Tavares, Utopia, Vangelis, Wham!, XTC, Yanni, Zendaya.

I didn't think of that possible distinction.

I really like Bjork (mainly for her work in the movie "Dancer in the Dark") and Enya. I like quite a bit from Petra, too. Vangelis, too. I don't know of Dino but I really like Dido, too.

Very clever, but I asked for your favorite.

That’s much too difficult to narrow down to merely one because there are so many factors that make up why I like the ones I like to assign an absolute favorite. It’s just like foods or beverages or movies or automobiles or many other things in life: I may truly like one for a particular set of reasons and another for closely similar or vastly different sets of reasons, but no overall and undeniably favorite one. Can’t do it. Sorry, not sorry.

Sokay. Others chose multiples. I also do not have favorites for many things.

I've been a fan since they were Flowers, more than forty years ago. The only band I've seen perform live more than twice:

I like them, too, after your mentioning them.

I've seen Laurie Anderson three times in concert and Howard Jones four times. :)

Switch is just the precursor to DeBarge.  Two of its founding members were Tommy and Bobby DeBarge. who were elder siblings to El, Bunny, James, Chico, Randy and Mark DeBarge who later sang under the name "DeBarge".  Trust me, if you like DeBarge, you'll like Switch!  Check out their song There'll Never Be.

A good place to start with Brick would be the songs Dazz and Dusic.  Although Dazz is clearly their biggest hit, Dusic is my clear favorite by this group.
