Anybody Here Have Nosy Neighbors?

I mean, every time your door opens, their door opens?

My neighbors are really not nosy at all.  Other than "hello" and "goodbye," I don't have much conversation with the folks who live on my floor.  Just as well.  However, I'm in PA pup-sitting for my sister for a few days and yesterday, one of her daughters came to pick me up to spend the day out with me.  She was borrowing some tools for work she's doing in her house and the next-door neighbor called my sister to tell her that two women were stealing stuff from her garage!

I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding on behalf of the nextdoor neighbor.  She probably just happened to notice a strange face and was just calling your sister to confirm.  If she really thought you all were stealing I'm sure she would have called the police.

Funny thing is that I had already been here two days.  I was in and out getting the mail, got in my car to go for a haircut, so it wasn't as though she hadn't already see me although I will give her this - I had very long hair when I got here and now it's very short. :) :)

I'm probably the closest person to a "Gladys Kravitz" in this neighborhood.

LOL... which of your neighbors are closest to Samantha and Darrin (Dick York, not Dick Sargent)?

Samantha would be the lady across the street.   Darrin would be the man next door.

I don’t have nosy neighbors.  My closest neighbor is ¼ mile away.

Ah, but have you checked the bushes lately?

I haven’t seen him before, but if he shows up, I’m pretty sure the usual stalkers who hide in the bushes will chase him away.   I don’t think they like new guys encroaching on their territory. lol

Just birds, squirrels and walkers. Neighbors all at work.

Me, too.  All my windows face the main street, so any time there's even a mild disturbance, I look out the window.  My vigilance has been thwarted lately because they've erected a sidewalk shed in order to do some brick work on the facade and there are some spots where I can't see anything.

I'd be looking right back at you if I saw you at your window looking out at me . . .

    :)

I was just going by your picture you posted with you at the window.  :)

(I'd be a good neighbor. A little weird but nice.)

My neighbors are not close enough to be very nosy.

One is very friendly, we have to allow about an hour or so to talk when we return her mail. (We have told her that they are free to come over and pick it up anytime Amazon messes up). She makes us cookies and homemade jam.

I have had a couple others actually walk over to the house when we were working on a trailer.  We converted an old camper into a large caged trailer.  It was loud when destroyed the original camper, and very fun.

Amiability and distance... sounds like the perfect equation.

Combining the first and third equations, x=0.25 and y= sqrt of 7.875. This post was edited by Element 99 at August 1, 2022 4:21 PM MDT
