The Manhattans, Chicago, TSOP, Hiroshima, Asia, Oak Ridge Boys. Any others?

Besides the ones I’ve already listed to get the ball rolling, what are some other pop music acts, individual singers, groups, bands, etc that include an officially recognized geographic place in their names? Using the examples above as guidance, that means towns, cities, counties, states, provinces, countries, territories, islands, continents, and so on.

EDITED SPECIFICALLY IN RESPONSE TO ARGUMENT ABOUT WHAT IS OR IS NOT DISQUALIFYING ENTRY: No businesses, organizations, units, or industries, streets, avenues, roads, highways, expressways, addresses, symphonies, symphony orchestras, and philharmonics, nicknames, or surnames.

You may use any language, but if it is other than English, please identify both the language and the English translation for the word(s) you submit.

(I thought of about 22 of them so far, and I know that there are many, many more possibilities.)

A street name is a geographic place.  E Street is an actual street in DC.

    8 E Street, S.E.
    Washington, DC 20003

Skid Row is place in LA. Skid Row is an area of approximately 50 square blocks located just east of downtown Los Angeles

I don’t dispute that those are geographic places, heck, the hill or the grove of trees behind my house are also geographic places.  clearly stated the parameters, which did not include neighborhoods, or subdivisions, or streets and roads, or places with specific addresses, etc.

Just accept that you got it wrong, I know that’s usually hard for you to admit, and I’m sure you may want to argue your points, you got it wrong, simple as that.

I know, right? It’s as if I have to go into full-on attorney mode for all the people who later argue, “But you didn’t say this wasn’t what you meant or that wasn’t what you meant . . . ”

I missed the no roads/streets rule.

But Skid Row is a geographic place.

To be fair to you, you did not miss it; out of frustration after arguing with you about it, I had to go back into the Description Field and add it.

Skid Row is geographic, yes, so are thousands of other references to places. It does not, however, have its own separate governing body, or or school board, or zoning designation, or taxation assignment, or representation in city, county, state, federal delegation. Restaurant Row, The Bar Zone, the county line, the turnpike, The Barrio, City Park, The ‘Hood, Wall Street, The Projects, etc are geographic places, yet they are not actual towns or cities or shires or parishes or commonwealths or counties or states or or provinces or prefectures or countries or islands or continents.

You didn't list America or Europe. I stuck Asia in there because I was doing continents. Before you get all persnickety on me, I know America is TWO continents. I've never heard of a band called Australia or Antarctica, and Africa is a song (by Toto), not a band.

Besides the ones I’ve already listed means that the band Asia is one of the ones I listed and then you included it in your list. I didn’t say anything about you having listed America or Europe, nor did I say anything about you might not know the difference between various continents, nor did I say anything about Africa as a band, as a continent, or as anything else.  Calm down; you’re the one being persnickety.

All of those had better be actual music acts, lol. You’re practically earning Asker’s Pick based on consistently posting a startlingly high number of entries when you reply to lists of mine similar to this one, lol.
