What is the one thing people cannot deny about themselves?

I think it's the energy they give off, whether they are wearing a "free beer" tee shirt or are disguised to the max.  You will know when they get close to you. They can't disguise a twinkle in their eye or energy coming from an almost touch.  It is almost Halloween and I have a friend that thinks he can fool me and he may...for a while.  hahahaha

    Cogito, ergo rum.
    I drink, therefore I am.

It's more than 2 months from Halloween! Please don't rush it!

Some people are very adept at obscuring their energy. It's interesting to watch them, and very important to watch out for them!

I can see wanting to get a jump on Christmas crafts/gift-making stuff, but otherwise I think the day after Halloween is plenty early!

I do, too.  It's hard to think of Christmas when it's 90 degrees out and the humidity is 75%!

We all are hypocrites to a certain degree, but there are those people that take it to an ungodly level.

The GQP as a whole. Some if not most members in Congress are all up in arms about federal loan forgiveness when these same people got their PPP loans forgiven. These people are earning way more than 6 figures.

    Your list is not complete:
    Nancy Pelosi (D)
    Mitch McConnell (R-ino)
    Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev.
    Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H.,
Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-Pa., which employs his wife

I am sure there are more.
None of them broke a law by receiving the PPP loan. As long as they used the money as directed...to keep their employees working it is in no way hypocrisy by either side of the aisle.

The ones you mentioned (with the exception of Moscow Mitch) aren't the ones who are b**ching about forgiving student loans.

Student loans and PPP loans are not the same thing.
Student loans when people took them it was with the condition that they would pay them back.
PPP loans when they were given it was with the conditions (being met) the loans would be forgiven.

    That is a huge difference.

The only reason Biden is attempting the forgiveness of $10,000 in student loans is because he knows there is slaughtering coming in Nov and this is an attempt to literally buy votes.

I have a home mortgage backed by USDA. Should I expect the government to cancel my mortgage because of Bidenflation?  Of course not. I took the loan, accepted the payback terms and should be expected to pay it back.

You say "Bidenflation" as though only the US is in this situation.  The entire world is inflated.  Did Biden cause that?  Who knew he had so much power.

First thing he did was reduce oil production here. (Gas goes up so does everything else)
Then he enacted vaccine mandates (Federally) but causing companies to worry about OSHA regulations so many followed suit with there own mandates. (Causing worker shortages and supply chain issues) CA Newsom also played a big role in this causing ships to be sitting for months waiting to be unloaded.  I personally know a business who waited for their shipment for months and when it finally came cost for shipping increased from $5000 to $15000.  Someone has to pay the workers on those ships. And the businesses have no choice but to pass that extra cost along to the customer.
Then the pass a Billion dollar spending bill to fight inflation...lol you cannot fight inflation by spending.  Everyone knows this even Biden despite the name of the bill.

Bidenflation.  There is more but that is enough to earn the name.

So, now you're blaming the supply chain issues on Biden?  This is a world-wide problem caused by the pandemic.

Absolutely.  Biden and Newsom their policies slowed unloading of the boats to a crawl.   Products were there, "the world" got them to the port.....

    1) Not Zac's list.

    2) The very first word in the title of this list is Republican.

    3) Why did you mention breaking the law? Who is breaking the law? This was a response to House Judiciary GOP stating that if loans are taken out, they should be paid back. Period. No support for loan forgiveness. If they didn't want to be hypocritical, those who opposed loan forgiveness would not accept it for themselves. Period.

    1. He posted it.
    2. I gave a fuller list politicians in general ( the list he post is not complete even if you stick to Republicans)
    3. I was just clarifying that taking aPPP  and had it forgiven is not illegal. In fact, if the loan were not forgiven would mean the person/business did something illegal.

It is not hypocrisy,  to expect the terms agreed to when acquiring a loan to be fulfilled.   This post was edited by my2cents at August 28, 2022 4:05 AM MDT

"It is not hypocrisy,  to expect the terms agreed to when acquiring a loan to be fulfilled."  I guess that doesn't apply to Donald Trump who declared bankruptcy six times and had $287 million in loans forgiven by big banks.

Bernie Sanders said it best:  "The GOP l-o-v-e-s socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the rest."

All loans are subject to bankruptcy laws
EXCEPT student loans.  Currently, student loans are not allowed to be discharged in a bankruptcy.  We should change that law.

Personally, I have no problem with forgiving the student loans.  But we need to get the Gov out of the student loan business.  It just makes college cost more. If they stay in it, they should regulate the loans. In order to get the gov backed loan....the interest rate etc must met guideline so as not to be predatory loans.   And force the colleges to help with jobs finding....this would stop the stupid degrees that will not get you a job. ie. No gender studies degrees,   Or the gov should just give Pell grants.

If we can keep sending Ukraine  billions, we can spend some money on US people.

Lol...Sanders the millionaire socialist who owns multiple homes.
