What is the most recent thing you really didn’t have to do, or should not have done, yet you did it anyway? (Humorous answers, please.)

One example:

(The oppressor. She is person who has filed the highest number of frivolous and revolving restraining order cases against one man in all of Q&A history. She will remain nameless here, but I think we all know not only who she is but also who her victim is. Cough, cough.)

(The oppressed. At least he prevails in the halls of justice. Were it not for that, all hope might be lost.)

I don't recall seeing that ad or ever hearing of Yuban coffee! I do love those retro commercials, though. And coffee.

It may have been regional, but I doubt it, because it was one of the gags in the hit comedy movie “Airplane”.

Perhaps it was not regional where you were living at that time.

I have seen parts of that movie and remember thinking it wasn't that funny. Maybe I should try again. It sure gets rave reviews and a lot of attention on this site! Hehehe!

My parents weren't big coffee drinkers when I was young, so there's that. I'll look for it next time in a grocery store.

Yuban (Yuletide Banquet) is a premium darker roast. A nice treat once a year.

I saw that it's poorly reviewed by coffee snobs - below Folgers and Maxwell House.

I like it, that's all that matters. There is another brand called 'Black Gold.' My grad school professor bought it and I would make a pot each morning.

Yes, one of the brands I like was pretty poorly ranked, too. I think Starbucks was ranked too high around #8. It's decent and I buy it when it's on sale, but I don't think it's that great.

I've cut way back on coffee recently. 2 cup max. Helping with anxiety, I think. Maybe.
