Topic: musical acts that have changed their stage names, some of them more than once.

Thinking of musical bands or groups individual singers that have changed their names at least one time, which of your favorites do you think was a poor choice? This poor choice can be either the original name or can be any subsequent name change along the way.

Johnny and the Moon Dogs and The Silver Beetles were forerunners to the iconic band, The Beatles.

    Detour became The Who.

    Mookie Blaylock became Pearl Jam.

There are hundreds of others.. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at December 11, 2022 2:15 PM MST

My fave band, Icehouse, changed their name from Flowers during their first UK tour, to avoid confusion with a pre-existing Scottish band called The Flowers. I prefer the name Icehouse, Flowers sounds too hippie for an 80s band.
