Have you ever watched an entire movie and failed to recognize one of your favorite performers?

For me, it was "Prometheus"

Actor Guy Pearce.

Along with Montgomery Clift, one of my favorite two actors. Goes to show Pearce is a great actor, yup.  It wasn't just the makeup - - to me, he physically transforms all aspects of his performances.

The image on the right is what he looked like in the movie.

In this case I would not recognize him but I don't anyway.  Who is he?

    He is actor Guy Pearce.
On the left is more of his usual appearance.

I just found it fun that I didn't recognize Pearce in the movie, and he's one of my two favorite actors.  :)

I need to get out and see more movies, I'm behind the times.  Perhaps Randy D. will take his/our harem to the show more often.

Wait, what . . . ? Don’t you realize how much that would cost in tickets and buckets of popcorn? It would break my bank!

      Grrrrrrr.

You can just take it out of the sandwich making budget and they can go every week.

Well, perhaps you should trim back the harem so the rest of us could reap the benefits, like a large popcorn instead of a small that we have to share among all of us.  The tildes are a problem as well, the time you invest in them costs you dearly.

How do I know you’re not just trying to cut out some of your competition? A culling of the herd, so to speak. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I was watching Men In Black 1 and 2 when for the first first time realized that one of the aliens is played by the same actor who plays Monk. This post was edited by my2cents at March 10, 2023 7:10 PM MST

I didn't realize that. Now I am trying to think of what alien it was. I'm thinking maybe it was the alien that was some kind of insect that really liked sugar. Cheers!

No, he got his (head) shot off in the movie more than once. This post was edited by my2cents at February 22, 2023 7:48 AM MST

Good clue because when you said "he got his shot off" more than once I started thinking gluteus maximus  - like he got his gluteus maximus  shot off more then once in the move. Then I started thinking who got their gluteus maximus shot off more then once in the movie and I thought of Jack Jeebs  the owner of the pawn shop. Jake shot Jack Jeebs  gluteus maximus off many times in the movie. Actually I goggled it and I was surprized that the guy who played Jack Jeebs  in Men in Black was also the guy that played Monk. Cheers!

I missed some answers here, sorry about that.

I've never watched "Monk" though I knew of it.

Yeah, when things like that happen to me like what happened to you, I find it interesting. :)

I can't think of a movie that that happened to me but it recently did with a new TV series. They made a remake of Night Court and for the first couple of episodes the lady that plays the Judge seemed a bit familiar. By episode three I figured it was the mom from the TV series Mom. But it turned out to be the lady that plays Howard's wife on the Big Bang Theory. Cheers!

Everything Everywhere All At Once.. an awarded recent movie has Jamie Lee Curtis and I could not bring her to mind at all as being the secretary who got punched by the 60 something year old Asian lady and then said..You are in a lot of trouble now lady! Funny.

You are right. I'm not sure I would have recognized Jamie Lee Curtis if you had not pointed her out. This post was edited by NYAD at March 11, 2023 5:36 PM MST
