Too late and too many of us. The planet will survive long after we are gone. We are too late to save us. Pity.

Hey! Zack! Toast was from Jay who died young because he was busted up about everything that was what it shouldn't be besides his own arty brain. RIP my friend Jay 1963 to 2018 because you found peace where no peace  of mind was to be found. They called you such a private person but you felt more then most. The normal solution is tax the US and give the money to other countries.  That is literally what the Paris Accord does.
When they get off their private planes, I might believe we have a serious problem.   Just one coast to coast flight in a private plane (21mt) emits more carbon than 1 person driving their car for 4 1/2yrs. (4.6mt)

The planet is fine.  There is and always will be climate change.  We are at the end of the ice age (there is still ice....we are still in the ice age)  as we get closer to the end of it, the temperature will increase slightly.   Because of the SUN....not because of human activity.

Carbon is not the cause of warming....it is the effect.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that the ocean is full of plastic, the air is full of toxins from the profligate burning of fossil fuels (its not all about CO2), more species have gone extinct in the last 200 years than in ANY period of similar time since the space rock killed the dinosaurs ...

Your emotionalism is ignoring the the surmise that we are not exalted to lord the earth but are a part of the food chain just like any other crummy living thing in existence. Our luxury is lead to eff surE.

How many honest scientists do you believe there are? About... 1 in 10,000? Fewer; more?

What proof do you have that scientists are dishonest?

Then your previous comment could be considered libelous.

Actually Danilo_G was not being libelous in any way.....you should reread all the posts in the answer thread you replied in.

I did. But accusing pepole of dishonesty without proof could be considered libelous. This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at May 18, 2023 7:52 AM MDT

There has been some sort of misunderstanding here, Stu. And the results is that my2cents protected me in a climate discussion :p

The key words are "do you think". Danilo isn't accusing the scientists of dishonesty, m2c is with her "follow the money" comment. Accusing them of accepting bribes (actually the deniers are doing that, from Big Oil).
