Did you hear about the latest blow to Trump and the MAGA movment?

At a Town Hall meeting  Trump was talking about the debt-ceiling and he said  - “I say to the Republicans out there – congressmen, senators – if they don’t give you massive cuts, you’re going to have to do a default," And the MAGA crowd cheered.
But they probably aren't cheering anymore because Biden was able to reach a deal and there will be no government shutdown. Originally Kevin McCarthy wanted a debt-ceiling bill that would have gutted much of what Biden accomplished in his first two years. It was a wholly unreasonable proposal, aimed at appeasing the extremes of McCarthy's own party. But the final deal was nothing close to what MAGA lawmakers wanted.
In the House 149 Republicans voted in favor of the deal - that is 68% of the chambers GOP members so I think that is a sign that Trump and the MAGA movement is over. Cheers!

    Oh - well than maybe there is still hope for the MAGAdonians. And some day a couple of MAGAdonians will be flying in their car around Trump's futuristic city and one of them will ask what's on TV tonight. And the other MAGAdonian will say - the same thing that has been on TV for the last 2 years - a continues loop of Trump dancing to the YMCA song. Cheers!

    Clearly, those cheering for a government shutdown don't realize how badly they would be affected if that happens.  Then again, the GOP relies on the ignorance of its far-righters.  The dumber the better.

    The Town hall was staked with Trump/MAGA supporters so of coarse they would cheer at anything Trump said. Trump holds the record for the longest government shut down. He kept it going for 35 days until he got the funding he wanted for his wall. I think that was like holding the Nation hostage to get what he wanted. And Kevin McCarthy tried to do the same thing to get the MAGA/Trump agenda he wanted. Maybe if the republicans didn't spent so much time on raffling off Kevin McCarthy used chap stick they could of come up with a better bill. Cheers!

    It was MTG who paid the $100k to the GOP but it was not just for chapstick it was also a dinner with McCarthy....there have been rumors about the two since she divorced.  Still.gross...but better than just chapstick. It is basically a donation to GOP, it is likely a write off as well.
