No it hasn't.  The polar branch (northern hemisphere) is currently running through Canada, while a piece of the southern branch is trying to work its way into southern california.

But it is S shaped with increasingly disintegrating bits as far as I can see maybe, could be, possibly? Go smoke some weed. Lol! Maybe the ocean current temperatures have reached their tipping points? This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at July 27, 2023 12:36 PM MDT

The jet stream is usually disorganized and in "S" shapes during the summer months.  This is normal.  More heat (sunangle) in the summer creates more ridges (high pressure) adn less deep troughs (low pressure systems).  The jet becomes more amplified in the spring and late autumn months (arcing "U" shapes).  Ocean temps should continue to rise into October (again, due to the sun angle and lag time).

I guess what happens next is World wide crop failure. Today for the first time I heard the term "Global Boiling" used. Pretty scary. Cheers!
