When you go for a walk in the park, do you choose the park with the most dogs in it?

I go to the wooded trails or a trail by water. I bring my dog.

Does the water happen to be an ocean, any ocean?

No. Lakes, rivers and creeks around here. I am in MO no oceans here.

Rivers and creeks work, sounds very peaceful.

Least. My dog is "playful", but 70 lbs of enthusiastic Am Staff is more than most other dogs can handle so I walk her where she's least likely to meet any.

Every park and every street near me has a lot of dogs.

Awwww, I miss having a dog.  I think my next dog will be a smaller one, maybe.

I discovered in Arizona, a woman alone in a park is not a good idea.

There aren't too many places where a woman alone is safe in a park.

I went to enjoy the peace and quiet, flora and fauna and a time alone to think.  A man approached but didn't make any moves, then two undercover cops hurried in a car, I knew what they were thinking; that I wanted to hook up.  It made me sick to think a person, a woman, can't even go to the park without all that drama.  Just the way it all happened was so transparent, it still bothers me. But it could have been worse; a bad guy could have jumped out of the bushes and I'd make the 6 O'clock news as a missing person.

The extreme example being a friend of mine in business school, Trisha Meili, who later became famous as the Central Park jogger.

At the very least a self defense class.  I've been considering it for over 10 years.  Back surgeries have interfered.  :  (

Wait, back surgeries? How can you expect to frolic with Randy D under such restrictive conditions? He’s very agile and very active, you know, not recommended for the faint at heart. (Cough, cough.)

I never walk in parks.  I do not choose to be around dogs.  I do walk the neighborhood sometimes and have to encounter very few dogs.
