    The Hamburg Cell?

The movie shows the events leading up to 9/11 and story of the middle-class students responsible for the 9/11 attack: Ziad Jarrah (Karim Saleh), Mohamed Atta (Kamel), and Ramzi Binalshibh (Omar Berdouni).

The film was based on primary research, including personal interviews, unpublished correspondence, and the official 9/11 Commission Report.[

It was and is incredible. I couldn't really believe how well of a drama nonfiction made reality like movie with the most incredible music. It is over 3 hours long and it is a bit blurred as far as I found. Pretty spooky.

    Ah, well. Darn.  :)
My favorite movie is a horror - - George Romero's original 1968 black-and-white "Night of the Living Dead," a scene from which is my answerMug avatar.  ;)

Guess What's Back From the Grave? 'Night of the Living Dead' - The New York Times

A remake of "West Side Story"?  To me, no reason to do it when there is the original .  :)

The original "Saw" blew me away in a great way - -I found it very original and creative.
The sequels ruined the premise to me. :)

You should reserve judgment and see  it.

I thought it was very well done with, for example, an artist’s rendering advertising the future site of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to give a strong sense of location, and neat tie-ins to the original such as Rita Moreno cast as Doc’s widow and current proprietor of the candy store.

The big ensemble dance number “America” was done on Broadway instead of the rooftop. Beautifully done.

Point VERY well taken! Thanks!  I "thought" your point after I posted.

I, indeed, have not seen it. And, considering the director, I'm thinking you're correct. I am already agreeing with your points here. Thanks.  :)

    I bet I'll be watching.

In 2018, the Tanglewood Music  Festival in Lenox, MA celebrated Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday with performances of his music.

I attended a performance in which they showed the original film with the Boston Symphony Orchestra playing the music accompanying it.

    Pretty cool.

Cool. Are Gershwin and Bernstein on the same page? I saw the Jesus Chris Superstar live play. I have only once been to a classical concert. I forget but  I think it was Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky done. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at September 26, 2023 7:52 PM MDT

BTW. My classic Italian painter friend I knew since two had two opera singer parents and piano musicians and went I went to visit the genius father, I saw Aida tapes. No idea, but Aida! He lives in a high-rise across from Ground Zero with a Basenji dog and wife and daughter who is playing piano over the phone. We ran across the street to The Occupy Movement grass roots riot right across fromThe Fulton Street subway stop. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at September 26, 2023 7:52 PM MDT

I never have been to Tanglewood and the sophisticated kid with opera parents told me an experience like yours. He told me a lot little bit about Sturbridge where you can paint pretty scenery like on the North Shore Hull and Quincy seaside. St. Lawrence River. That right there tells me that you take movies way too seriously. However, I'm willing to admit that there is a large demographic of serious movie watchers. Some people just want to have a good time and watch a movie that you don't have to think about too much. That is the demographic I'm in. You think about it for a few minutes afterward, and then you move on. If you enjoy a movie by picking it apart, be my guest. I'm just saying you won't enjoy it as much as you could. My ranting stops NOW!!!! This post was edited by Zack at September 26, 2023 9:23 PM MDT

The Deer Hunter was too much for me at my age at the time.  I spent most of the movie sitting in the lobby.  I couldn't take it.

    I can understand that.

I was with friends when we saw "Ordinary People" and they all I knew I love to sit through the entire ending credits to any movie but I got up and left and went outside of the theater to compose.
