    I never watched a lot of professional sports but, yes, I heard his name all the time.
    I know very little about football details but I know he was an incredible player.

    Yes. He was mentioned during a game I watched yesterday.  I'm really glad I didn't fall for someone with his name.  My first name followed by Butkus would have been unbearable.
