And somehow the song slipped by me me over the years.
I admit I like it best at the slow beginning, with just Mercury singing, before the fast beat comes in. :)

A bit of both.

I've never heard this song. 
I first thought the name of the song, or singer, was "Ramgoat Liver."

The song is called Ram Goat Liver and it’s sung by Pluto Shervington.

In addition to my wife being from St Vincent and the Grenadines, I used to work in an office with a couple of Jamaicans, and we sang it constantly.

I wasn't closely listening to the lyrics. I just like his singing voice and the music is nice n the song, too.
Fun for me to hear new-to-me music I end up liking.

Songs from the islands are easier to understand and enjoy if one is familiar with patois, the English dialects that vary slightly from country to country.

Naturally, listening to my wife and her family and friends as well my Jamaican coworkers has helped me a great deal with this.
