Er, um, I can help out with that if you would like me to. Let’s work out some type of deal . . .

So short that when one of my hairs falls out, I can hear it hit the floor.

I'm not short. I'm tall. A little over 6 feet. This post was edited by Zack at November 25, 2023 9:09 AM MST

I used to be 5'4".  I'm probably an inch shorter now and the universe is laughing at me because almost everything I need in the supermarket is on the top shelf in the back.  In my next life, I'm coming back taller, thinner and smarter.

That’s another way I make myself useful: being on the tall side, lots of women in grocery stores and supermarkets frequently ask me to reach items that are up on high shelves. It’s a great “in” for me. (Cough, cough.)

On occasion I have to ask for help reaching things on the top shelf.  All but once a tall person walked by and I asked for their help.

In Texas, a tall person is referred to as a "tall glass of water," fun Texas fact.

I didn't not know that until I heard a family member refer to my grandson as a "tall glass of water," he is 6'6".

Attention all employees: Our business checking account is a little short this month.  Please pick one before the end of this pay period and bring it to payroll.   Hey, how much did this glass and these straws cost?

*Phone call to the Securities and Exchange Commission:

”My name is Randy D, and I think an investigation is in order to see what involvement Livvie the Criminal Queenpin may have had in the shortage of funds at that company. Embezzlement is not a farfetched possibility of her activities, and further delving might reveal that she needed extra cash to finance any one of the schemes she’s cooked up to hasten my downfall. Yes, I certainly will hold while you fill your fountain pen, thank you.”
