I used to think apologizing showed weakness but not any more.  I think it takes a strong person to apologize and run the risk of it not being accepted.

When someone apologizes it shows us tjat the person realizes he/she harmed/hurt someone. Apologizing doesn't make it go away of course but at least the person takes responsibility and acknowledges it. Whether the apology is accepted is up to the person who was wronged. I think taking ownership of what you say and do is  a no-brainer.  I have always thought it is the weak folks who can't admit it when they're wrong. I guess we do what makes sense to us PC and on that we the people don't agree. Witness PET. Who is going to apologize to us for that huge wrong? Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

  • An apology is an acknowledgement of a wrongdoing. It takes strength and character to admit that, and I admire the man or woman who has that strength. Of course, the apology must come through as sincere and not just an eyewash.
