Sure, probably, but not if Vegemite, mayonnaise, or avocados are a prevalent part of what they have to offer, Komrad. (Grrrrrr.)

Only if they have avocados and Hellman's Mayonnaise available.

Give it up, you need to "untie" your free miles from me.

A long time ago, my then-boyfriend and I flew to Berlin to visit with some friends he met through an exchange program with the company where he worked.  While we were there, we decided to take a tour of East Berlin on a Sunday afternoon.  We entered through the Brandenburg Gate.  It was a beautiful sunny day, but everything seemed gray and the people walked with their heads down, only going from point A to point B.  We spent some time in a beautiful park, but all we saw were Russian soldiers and their ladies.  We exited through Checkpoint Charlie and I was very happy to get back on the tour bus and back to West Berlin.

Vietnam, I think, is jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

And, sure, I'd visit! Or am I only supposed to believe everything I'm told about them?

Been to East Germany when the Russians still ran it. Like going back in time.

Despite the proclamations of Brotherhood, the Germans did not like them.

It's very unlikely: I've not been abroad for years.

Yes. I don't plan on going to North Korea, but I went to China and enjoyed the visit. Cuba and Vietnam are places that I would like to see, but it's unlikely that I will travel internationally again. This post was edited by Jane S at February 13, 2024 10:25 AM MST

Hmmmm, interesting . . . oh, don’t mind me; I’m just jotting down a few notes in the ongoing dossier. Every new tidbit helps add another piece to the puzzle.

Does Vietnam count? If so, yes.

I have visited the Indian state of Kerala, which had a freely-elected communist government for several years.

I have no desire to visit Cuba. The closest I've ever been to Cuba is drinking Havana Club rum.
