The Sub-Basement? The Haremville? The Randallton? The Sandwich City?

I know, right? Time goes by and I don’t get the recognition that I truly deserve. Grrrrrrr.

In my current town no but my home town yes. I don't give either of them out so sorry.

There were USS Illinois and USS Missouri  ships.  This post was edited by my2cents at May 25, 2024 3:01 PM MDT

Uh.... No. (although it'd be really hilarious if they ever did)

Of course, I wouldn't put it past some local stoner to have named their row boat or dinghy after it.

The RAN had an entire class of frigates entitled "Adelaide class".
Three Naval vessels have carried the name:

HMAS Adelaide (1918), Town class light cruiser, commissioned in 1922 and decommissioned in 1946. Served with distinction in World War II.

HMAS Adelaide (FFG01), Adelaide class frigate, commissioned 1980, decommissioned 2008. Saw service in East Timor and the Persian Gulf.

HMAS Adelaide (L01), Canberra class landing helicopter dock ship, commissioned 2015, still in service. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at May 26, 2024 2:57 PM MDT
