I think I've forgotten your liking Stephen King ,too.  :)
I find him a great author.

"Misery"  - - that book blew me away. I was impressed with Bates and Caan in the movie, too.
The other two King books you mention I liked, too.

I'd do well to finish that book. I think I started it at one point, liked it then got distracted somehow because I only remember liking the bit I read. Don't remember the details of what I liked.  :)

Leon Uris is a fantastic writer.  He does very in-depth research into the topics of his books and they are always a good read.

Uris not only served in my beloved ‘alma mater’, the United States Marine Corps, another book that he wrote was based on his real life experiences as a combat Marine fighting against the Japanese in the Pacific during World War Two: “Battle Cry”.  That book was also made into a movie. Several of his written works became movies.

I believe I've read all but the last one or two of his books.  I wait until they come out in paperback.  He is a fabulous writer.

Rarely watch any movies any longer.   Used to be a big movie buff but nothings really holds my interest these days.  All I can think of is "The Red Violin," excellent movie, saw that out 10 years ago. Not sure if there was a book as well.

Funny, but I feel the same way about movies.  It's been a long time since I saw one in the theater - I think the last one was "Ted."

I think it’s been about a decade since I last went into a theater. Anyway, I love old, old, OLD movies in addition to new ones, so I get my fix at home on the television by watching the “old man movie channels.

I don't know how to turn my TV on, someone showed me but I forget. Only get the local channels anyway so there's not much to watch.

I don't even watch movies on TV.  I just don't have the attention span.

Thank you. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a movie you’ve seen recently, just movies you like in general regardless of when you last saw them.

Casablanca was awesome, especially after learning of the backstory of all the actors in the movie. It remains one of the tops of all times for me because of the actors personal history, made it more meaningful for sure.

Oh, have to think about it, it's been so long.  I do remember seeing the "Grapes of Wrath," so many moons ago, so many.  It was intense from the little I remember.  Know I've seen more, probably a lot more.
