trump will do anything to get out of debating her, as he knows she'll upstage him (bruise his massive ego).

If he does, he's going to look like a bigger fool than we already know he is.

Looking the fool is his speciality.  He seems to get off by doing it.

The 1st debate has already been agreed to.  If Kamala wants to do one with open mics then she can step up and be brave enough to agree.to another debate.  This is Kamala trying to get the debate canceled.  She knows she does not do well with unscripted questions.

She needs to step up and agree to more debates. This post was edited by my2cents at August 26, 2024 3:03 PM MDT

She agreed a long time ago, to another debate in October,  but it has not yet been scheduled.

And I guess you forgot about the Harris/Pence debate. She did just fine.

So what exactly are her policies? They are still not listed on her website.

Tulis and Biden took Kamala out in one debate in 2016.

Where did you see a debate in Oct? I cannot find any thing saying she has agreed to a 2nd debate. There are statements saying 2 debates agreed to but they are.countong Biden's career ending debate as number 1 agreed to debate.

This is her attempt to get out of the Sept 10th debate.

What is the date and network?

And if "the debate about debates is over" why is Kamala trying to debate the rules for the debate?

The details of the October debate have not been determined.  But, she has agreed to a second debate. The statement referred to whether there would be debates. The only request I have heard from the Harris campaign is open mics. The other requests, were reported by the Trump campaign and denied by the Harris campaign. None of this is worth the coverage it's getting, IMO.

Then the "debate about the debates" is not finished.  No date, no network and no rules have been agreed upon for the supposed Oct debate.

If she wants another debate then she can debate about the debate rules for that one or two or whatever.

But as I said only 1 debate has been agreed to by both candidates and now she is trying to change the previously agreed to rules.  This post was edited by my2cents at August 27, 2024 9:05 AM MDT

What is the problem with open mics?

No problem with them but the agreement has already been made and Trump should use it to try and force Kamala to step up and agree to a 2nd debate.

Correct.  And she is already trying to change the rules hoping Trump would back out.

Trump suggested 3 debates.  Sept 4th on FOX, Sept 10th ABC (this is the only one Kamala has agreed and is trying to change the rules) and Sept 25th NBC.

She needs to agree to at least one more.  I would prefer 2 more.

Yep. She is no good when it comes to anything beyond a 10 sec sound bite off teleprompter.

Is it just my impression, or were you happier with Biden? This post was edited by Danilo_G at August 26, 2024 7:14 PM MDT

He's not backing out, he just wants all the 'will he, won't he' news coverage.

No bad publicity at all for him in his mind. He's a master at grandstanding and making it all work for him.

    Yikes -- I better stop there.  :)

At this point (I speak for me, living my life at this point, today, August 26, ha), I'm tired of hearing news about both candidates wishing/demanding this or that about doing or not doing debates  -- "I won't debate on THAT TV-news network'"/etc.

Just bite your tongues and do it.

Maybe go back to the Commission on Presidential Debates hosting the debates on non-news, supposedly non-partisan sites.
I suggest out of the country - - the most beautiful site I've seen in my life --

    Le Mont St. Michel, France

    Mont Saint Michel Facts

I'm going to go for a run now. I'll be better for it. :)

I think he will wimp out. And then to make himself feel better he will spend the rest of his life bragging about how badly he beat Biden in a debate. Cheers!

She not only wants open mics, she wants seated, WITH NOTES....she wants out. But she already agreed to the original rules.

If she wants other rules then she can agree to another debate(s) and she can probably get them.
