What would be your Last Straw song to Trump ripping off a musical artist?

Trump could use the votes of young people. So I’m thinking he might Glam himself up and start playing the Alice Coppers song – I What To Be Elected at his rallies. Trump has ripped off many musical artists but if he rips off that song – I will get a hold of all my old glam/glitter rock buddies and file a Class action lawsuit against hi Cheers and happy weekend!

Songs played at political rallies are used under a general use license which is paid for.

If that is so - then how come Eddy Grant and a few others were able to win law suits against Trump for using their songs without permission. Cheers and happy weekend!

Not Trump or his campaign.  A 3rd party made the video and Trump used the 3rd party's video. (It was not about a song being played at a rally...it was a video that used part of his song as background music)

Musical artist can send cease-and-desist letters – Trump usually ignores them. The next step is a law suit – Trump has lost a few of them and there are many more waiting for a court date.

The Eddy Grant thing wasn’t just back ground music – it was a Trump campaign animated video that mocked Joe Biden and played on the big screen. Cheers!

Cease and desist orders do not matter if the campaign  paid for the general use license to the producers/record companies.

Anything by P!nk. She's made her political position quite clear, aiming Dear Mr President at Dubya, and What About Us? at His Royal Orangeness.
