THAT’S how I hooked them, it was my way in! They fell head over heels for me!

Grrrrrrrr. You’re just trying to scare off all your competition by making them think that‘s me. Reality check:

No, and I still haven't learned to at the age of 50. I don't know how typical my experience is, but it is rare indeed for a woman to show any verbal or non-verbal sign of interest in me in real life, even momentarily. Maybe three times in the last twenty years.

Your family dynamically is part of you so we're your factored influenced. Being 64 right now and having three older brothers and a tomboy older sister and a macho dad and neutral mom engrained in me a dynamic I don't want to be thwarted by emotional shananigans or mannerisms at all. I consider it a waste of time.
Women are to be admired from afar for me that's all. This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at September 29, 2024 2:55 PM MDT

Why do you think that is?

I believe the biggest reason is my autism. Up until at least my mid-30s, my limited social skills and underdeveloped emotional intelligence would probably have made me undatable. I have been on an upward trend since then, many aspects of my life have improved and I feel I can carry myself pretty well in social situations, but I may give off subtle clues in body language and facial expressions. I am still on a self-improvement journey, I'm trying to learn to be more spontaneous and less of an over-thinker.

Autism is a hard road, but I'm happy that you are making such progress.  I worked for an attorney who was on the spectrum and it was difficult at first but I got used to him and we got along fine after that.  We should all be on a self-improvement journey for out entire lives.  Good luck to you.

Maybe they are too subtle for you to realize when they are.

I thought I cursed myself a little in that regard after declining a girl’s marriage proposal when she and I were about 7. In the end, I’d say luck compensated for lack of charm. A whole lotta luck for a very big lack.

I am not a women hater but being on the end of the totem pole I feel crushed by all I saw and see. I don't want to explain but I can't conceal my emotions when I see the obvious treachery coming at me and continually today miserably be!
