After Carter left office he refused to take money for public speaking engagements. Maybe because he figured his words and thoughts could benefit Americans and that was priceless so he did them for free.
Traditionally when an American precedent dies flags are flown at half mask for 30 days. That means flags will be at half mask when Trump is sworn in and I bet he will demand that they be raised for his special day. Cheers and happy holidays!
I know for a fact that Jimmy Carter was a decent human being because I kind of knew him personally. I know a Southern Belle that has a few group photos of her, Jimmy Carter and some of his family and friends. She once told me what each photo was about and a few of the good things the Carter’s have done. So I like to think I kind of knew him personally through a friend. Cheers and happy holidays!
