I agree with #1, and am strongly against #12.  The rest, however, seem to be aimed solely at "immigrants" and/or foreigners.  NO bill should be aimed solely at specific individuals, nationalities, genders, and/or religions.  ANYONE - citizen or not - who commits a crime should be punished accordingly.

Numbers 1, and 7-12 have nothing to do with immigration laws.

I would have no problem deporting our natural born criminals as well but not sure how that would work.   This post was edited by my2cents at January 3, 2025 9:01 AM MST

Unfortunately, we can't deport natural citizens (not even to mars).  However, we CAN make punishments fit crimes (justice).

Indeed, no more slaps on the wrist for serious crimes.

    Or jail for minor things.

#12 - you do know that hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") makes groundwater unusable, right? Thousands of acres of farmland that relies on aquifers for irrigation will become arid or semiarid pretty much overnight. Good luck eating coal seam gas.
I'd also object to #8 - if a citizen of the US or its allies (this includes Australia) commits a crime while in a foreign country, they should be liable to prosecution to the fullest extent of the law without let or hindrance. Why impose sanctions to protect criminals? This post was edited by Slartibartfast at January 3, 2025 9:01 AM MST

Number 8 is for countries like Iran, Korea, Russia etc.  You know the crap they pull and then want trade prisoners.  Not to protect US citizens from real punishment for real crimes.

So you're good with the rest? This post was edited by my2cents at January 3, 2025 9:01 AM MST

I know that is the problem.
    But not the topic.

No where in the bills does it talk about that.

    As I said...
"Having somewhere to deport them is the problem."

Now do you have an answer to the question? Which is about the proposed bills listed above?
