What do you consider cold weather?

Hmm... -10 is a tad on the chilly side.  As a native Californian, I consider anything below 25F as cold.

I have seen it below 0 here on a few occasions (no wind chill), and have had to dig out of/drive through 4+ feet of snow a few times (which sucks when it's 6-10 F out and frozen solid).

Even as a Minnesotan, I haven't seen four feet of snow. But maybe that's because we are equipped to deal with it and it doesn't pile up.

All it takes is cold air mixing in with an atmospheric river and the snow here quickly piles up.  A little higher up from here they can get over 10 feet of snow in 24-36 hours.

I used to live in Northern Manitoba so I have been in 50 below zero weather (with the wind chill). So anything warmer than that is balmy to me. Cheers!

Yes, I've been in that kind of cold too. I'm a little less comfortable in it now compared to my younger days.  I start getting cold at double digits below zero Fahrenheit. That's about -23C.

Yeah I wouldn’t want to be in that kind of weather anymore. Our winter weather rarely gets below zero so I’m pretty spoild. Thought I would add a little bragging - some of the bulb flowers are up in my area. Cheers!

I think anything below 32 F. is cold weather.  Right now, it's 21 F, wind chill 20 F,  Yesterday we had what appears to be about 3" of snow.  Thank heaves I have a neighbor who is clearing my driveway and my porch in return for letting him store his snow-blower in my shed.  He's also going to mow my lawn as he is keeping his mowing tractor in my shed as well.  I have more than enough room in my garage to store my own things, so I think I wound up on the better end of this deal.

You bet it is.  I'm in a 55+ community and they clear the common areas and roadways but not individual driveways.  Having been an apartment denizen my entire life, I didn't give any thought to what I would have to do now that I own a house, especially since I have no equipment for outdoor things that need to be done.  I did hook up with a landscaper who charged me $30 a week to mow, which is about standard here, and he did do a big fall cleanup.  The woman who lived here was a "naturalist" and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to what she planted.  I just had the guy cut back everything I couldn't identify.  In the Spring, I'll see what comes up and then I'll have a better idea of what I want to do.  There are some Amish people who you can hire to shovel snow, but I have no idea what they charge.  This neighbor and his wife have been a Godsend and have turned out to be really good friends - people I know I can count on in an emergency, even though my sister lives about 20 minutes away. Depends on the time of year and how long I will be outside.

But in general under 40° F is cold.
    Under 30 is freezing
Under 20 in stay in the house.

    In Minnesota

40 degrees = leave your jacket in the car
30 degrees = think about wearing long pants
20 degrees = jacket and long pants,  but save the hat and gloves for when it's cold
