How cringe-worthy was it to see Elon Musk waving around a chain saw at the CPAC event?

His reveling in how much he and his cohorts have upended and ruined the lives of so many government employees and their families was disgusting.  Just goes to show that you can be the wealthiest man in the world and still have no class.  He's not right in the head.

Yes, exactly what I just said. No point in trying to explain further. You want to think I'm stupid, it's not the first wrong thing you believed.

I never called or thought you are stupid.  I do not speak to anyone that way.
I was simply replying to what you posted. You did not indicate that you were "joking."

Give me a break. You didn't announce your comment literally meant that you believed the government should hire everybody and the debt would dissappear. I understood what you were doing and replied in the same way. What you are doing now is gaslighting. If I made an observation that you disagree with and you mocked it, fine. But don't pretend that my somewhat sarcastic response was different. The way I interpret most of your words on political issues is that everyone who doesn't share your views is not very intelligent. Try not talking down to people before you claim that you don't speak to anyone that way.

You do know that Donold's 2017 tax cuts for the top 1% of taxpayers added $2 TRILLION to the debt, right? Why hasn't Elon suggested backtracking on those?

And those tax cuts are set to expire, so they have to be added into the next budget bill. So, it looks like making cuts to Medicaid for Grandma's nursing home is a good place to offset at least part of that.

7,000 IRS employees fired IN THE MIDDLE OF TAX SEASON.  What a fantastic idea for Trump's rich friends to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.

I couldn't say, but some people are suggesting that it was to hide signs of drug use.

The chainsaw was a tad bit unnecessary.

    It is a show....done for a 30sec soundbite.
Some think it is funny (I do), others think it was awful.  But it makes the news regardless.

One of my nicknames is Mr. Safety so I found it very cringe-worthy to see someone handling a chain saw that way. I also figure a chain saw is not the tool to use when making cuts to over spending. A variable speed reciprocating saw would be more suitable. Because you could swiftly and precisely cut out the unnecessary waste and not touch the necessary spending. Cheers!

Here’s a look at the messes Trump has made by randomly firing federal employees ― and then racing to rehire them because they were needed.

Doesn't seen very cost cutting to fire someone then pay someone to hire them back the next day.

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't want an efficient, cost-effective government, but there's a way to go about it and it isn't by firing everyone willy-nilly.  When all these people wind up on unemployment insurance or worse welfare, where will the cost savings be?  That doesn't even take into consideration the mental anxiety this upheaval has caused the employees and their families.  Then, again, Trump rules by chaos - clearly evident in his first term - and worse now because his administration has no adults in the room to keep him from running off the rails - only sycophants willing to comply with his every wish.
