No because like Jane S pointed out Ukrainians believe that it is better to die on your feet then to live on your knees.
They might of impeached him if he had grovelled at Trump’s feet.
    Cheers and happy weekend!

Well they called for the emergency session.

Did you watch the video of the Ukraine ambassador face during the meeting? She was not happy with Zelensky either

One guy is calling for an emergency session Oleksandr Dubinsky.

Oleksandr Dubinsky has been a member of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, since 2019. The 43-year-old faced a two-month arrest in 2023 on suspicion of state treason and was also accused of spreading misinformation about Ukraine’s political leadership.

    Cheers and happy weekend!

So the whole country is impeaching Zelensky now? Not just the non-existent Prime Minister Oleksandr Dubinsky you mentioned in your now deleted earlier post.

I removed my post because it was incorrect.   He is an MP (Member of Parliament) not PM (Prime Minster).

If there is an impeachment it will be the whole country.  We will see of it has legs.

Well maybe now that Trump can’t claim he is the only person in the world that can end the war - and that the Ukrainians don’t want Zelenskyy in office he can constraint on bringing down food prices. I’m still a bit worried that Trump will have Musk cut off Starlink out of spite. Cheers!

I wonder if there's any other provider besides Starlink that can service Ukraine and Europe.

Apparently there is and Ukraine is already taking steps to win the war with or without starlink. Cheers!

Good to know.  I saw this today:

"Elon Musk shared a post on his social network stating that Slim could have ties to criminal groups, and five minutes later, Carlos Slim canceled all business collaborations with Starlink in Latin America, which made Musk lose 7 billion US dollars.

An hour later, Slim announced that he would transfer his projects for the next 5 years with Starlink, an investment of 22 billion dollars, to companies in China and Europe.

More than money, Musk lost his main partner in 25 countries, in addition to giving up all that territory to companies of his competition and, most seriously, causing the USA to continue losing commercial presence and giving it to China."

Unfortunately, he has amassed enough money that if he never earned another dollar, he wouldn't have to change his lifestyle one iota.

Well maybe millions and millions of people will sue him for wrongful dismissal.

And maybe all his businesses will start hemorrhaging money because of his ties with Trump.

And maybe Musk and Trump will have a spat and Trump cuts off his government contracts with a demand to return any and all money advancements.

And maybe Trump will also sic the IRA on Musk because of their spat.

And maybe Russia will hack all of Musk’s accounts because Trump ordered that any investigation or surveillance of Russia’s cyber activities be halted.

    Cheers!

    H
ere's an article about. It doesn't rule out the possibility, but does present some reasons it may not happen, and a reassurance that it would not be catastrophic.

That was kind of reassuring that the Ukraine won’t be totally defenseless without starlink. The part about Musk once saying that he would like to fight a duel with Putin was funny and crazy. Cheers!

The guy who should be impeached is His Royal Orangeness. Again.

When the Soviet Union disintegrated, it left Ukraine with the world's third largest nuclear arsenal. Under the Bulgaria Protocol, Ukraine voluntarily disarmed, with the proviso that the signees to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (Russia, USA, UK and France) would respect and defend Ukrainian territorial integrity.
Russia reneged on that in 2014 and continues to do so. Now Trump has ensured that nobody will trust the US to keep its word either.
Trump and Vance tried every bully boy tactic in the book to upbraid and browbeat Zelenskyy but he stood firm. That's what you need from the leader of a nation at war. Churchill was a ruthless a-hole but he was the ruthless a-hole Britain needed to stare down Hitler's blitzkrieg. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at March 3, 2025 6:55 AM MST

All the man had to do was shut up and sign the agreement.   But he blow that up.  Bad mouthed the US claiming we have not been the ones funding this BS.
He made it clear he does not want a cess fire.   Well, we are done paying for the war.  He wants to continue,  then he can tell Europe etc to pony up. Our Billions are gone.

The "billions" was military equipment etc. already made by warmonger corporations. Then they get to make newer killing machines for the U.S. We weren't dropping palettes of dollar bills on the Ukraine soil. The real question is why isn't the good ole Military Industrial Complex complaining about it? Waiting for a bigger war? I think they do want a literal cess fire.

    Paid with our money.
There is no doubt there are warmongers in both parties that will be fine with a continued war making them money. Just as Big Pharma is still trying to make money off covid hype.
But Trump is not a war monger and there will be a peace deal or someone else can pay for the people dying.

The Bulgaria Protocol was not dependent on payment, it was unequivocal. And Ukraine is probably regretting it nnow, Russia would not have dared to attack a nuclear armed adversary. Nevertheless, the US, Britain and France are bound by that Treaty to defend Ukraine's territorial integrity and unless they do that, they are in breach. Nobody will ever trust the US again anyway, but this underlines that.
