A couple of days ago a reporter was accidentally included in a private – high level group chat about U.S. military strikes against the Houthis in Yemen. Today some republicans are asking questions like – what about Hillary’s emails.

Trump defended his national security adviser today and said the leak of highly classified military plans was “the only glitch in two months”. And “Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he’s a good man”. He sure wasn’t that understanding with Hillary. Cheers!

Russia has repeatedly tried to compromise Signal – and maybe it became easier because Steve Witkoff had his Signal messaging app on while he was in Putin’s backyard. Cheers!
Just because Trump says no classified info was discussed doesn't mean no classified info was discussed. Signal is not a government approved app for communication about war plans. Cheers!
Thought I would add that it is not a “nothing burger” in a lot of ways.
One of the those ways is how Trump handled it.
A reporter gets invited to join a Signal chat with the Trump team. After a few moments that reporter realizes that he is possibly hearing classified stuff – so he leaves the chat.
Instead of being congratulated for doing the right thing – Trump publicly calls him a sleaze bag that works for a failing media company.
That's not presidential and its not a nothing burger either. Cheers

Today the Atlantic released new info about the Signal chat – and a statement about why they decided to release it.
“There is a clear public interest in disclosing the sort of information that Trump advisers included in nonsecure communications channels, especially because senior administration figures are attempting to downplay the significance of the messages that were shared,” the magazine said.

I was just thinking that if Trump and the Trump team had a Loose Lips Sinks Ships contest Trump would win.
Trump once had a meeting with US Seals that were on secret military operation. And after the meeting Trump posted the group photos he took with his phone on social media.That could of put the mission and the Seals family in danger.
During a photo op about North Korea Trump told the position of a US nuclear sub.
And Trump let Mexico know that there were secret motion detectors at the top of his wall.

During his first term Trump refused to follow security protocol and swap his phone for a new one ever 6 months.
