Maybe those are reciprocal tariffs – so if they seem like silly tariffs Trump was silly first. Cheers!
I checked the Canadian governments site for the list of US goods Canada has put tariffs on and didn’t find flame throwers or those other things on it. But as far as looking like a joke goes Trump has put 25% tariffs on high grade aluminum while claiming that America doesn't need anything from Canada. America doesn't have high grade aluminum ore in the ground so they can’t produce high grade aluminum. But they do need it for many things and Americans will now have to buy it at 25% more – so it is Trump that looks like a joke. Cheers!
"According to the Trump administration’s list, it will be imposing a 10% reciprocal tariff on the Heard and McDonald Islands—an external Australian territory a little less than 1,000 miles north of Antarctica.
According to an informational guide to the islands on an Australian government website, they are considered to be “one of the wildest and remotest places on Earth.”

One island is uninhabited and the other is inhabited by penguins only. So, how much importing/exporting do you think those penguins engage in?
