Does Trump get the big picture?

Trump just announced 100% tariffs on movies not produced in the US. It already costs a couple $25 for 2 movie tickets – now it is going to be $50. Drive in movies went out of business many years ago and now it will be movie theaters thanks to Trump. Cheers!

I can't remember the last time I went to see a movie in a movie theater - I think it was to see Ted.

I have always thought that failing to see the big picture is one of the biggest problems with the Trump Administration. He's like the guy who wants to remodel his house, so he starts the demolition, but has no plans or resources to actually put in the upgrades, so he lives in a demo site.

I was thinking Trump’s latest production will be just like all his other productions. He will make a big scene about putting 100% tariffs on movies not produced in the US – then after a couple of weeks he will make a big scene about reducing the tariffs to 25%. Trump has been getting a lot of heat because of the Pope thing so this movie thing could just be a distraction.

    Cheers!

Get out your cervical collar.  Trump is already backtracking on this:

“Although no final decisions on foreign film tariffs have been made, the Administration is exploring all options to deliver on President Trump’s directive to safeguard our country’s national and economic security while Making Hollywood Great Again,” White House spokesman Kush Desai tells The Hollywood Reporter."

Hollywood is already great - but that could change with Trump in the picture.

A new movie might be released tomorrow called – Mr. Carney goes to Washington. Canada’s PM and Trump will be meeting tomorrow ot talk about tariffs. Cheers!

FOX is not going to like this one bit. The Sydney studio is a huge investment. Perhaps His Royal Orangeness will be forced to backtrack - it's not wise to bite the hand that feeds you. Not that anyone thinks that Trump is wise, but surely Rupert can find an ear among his staff.
