Are Measles a contagious disease?

If so – oh oh.
Trump just shut down CDC’s infection control committee. Guess he didn’t hear that there is a measles outbreak in Texas.
Cheers!

I was vaccinated against measles many moons ago however my understanding is the vaccination has not been offered for a couple of generations.  Kind of scary for the newbies on the planet.

The MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines have been and are still being given.  Not sure why you think a couple of generations were not offered it.

I knew measles were contagious – it was just my little shot at Trump for getting rid of all the agencies that help control contagious diseases.

Trump totally mismanaged covid – so I am sure he will do the same with a measles outbreak. Cheers!

I don't believe I have ever gone to the CDC's website to find out anything about a disease or outbreak, so I have no idea what they post daily or otherwise.

What government agencies are allowed to post changes from day to day.  So, your link may not be valid at some point.

The key to managing disease outbreaks is consistency in reporting them.  They allowed this notification because the information was already out there very publicly.  What happens with the next one?  What happens if they don't permit the CDC to make the outbreak known?  I don't understand how Trump supporters can continue to allow him to play with their lives and their livelihoods when it is so detrimental to them as well as everyone else.

They are posting on the outbreak.   There is no reason to assume they would not report and another one.  Other than a reason to complain about Trump.

I'm not sure what the CDC can or can't report. In January they were told to pause all external communications unless approved by the executive branch. This includes a lot of things besides disease updates. It's not clear what, if any, parts of the ban are lifted. It's also not clear to what information the executive branch thinks should be withheld from the public or given a different spin. But, my opinion is that we cannot be confident that we are getting accurate unbiased information at this time, so it's good to know there are other options.

Everything in the US is in turmoil which is exactly the way Trump and his merry band of morons want it.  I'm happy to know that there are folks who are determined to disseminate the information the public needs to know.

It's not only contagious, it's potentially fatal. Republicans as a rule don't know this, they're the most poorly educated people in the OECD. That's how Trump is able to con them.

    Of course, it is contagious.

And the CDC is still handling outbreaks of it.  Just because you remove the bloated parts of gov does not mean you removed all of gov.
