How does ending food programs for the needy fit in with Trump’s belief that he is on a mission from God?

Trump has ended food programs like school lunches for kids in need and meals on wheels for elders in need. So I can’t understand how Trump could be on a mission from God and take away food from kids and elders. Cheers and happy weekend!

Nature's way is to abandon the weak in order to strengthen the herd. Trump may believe that culling the herd makes it easier for the rest to survive. Of, course that would put us on a par with the animal world, which might just mean not being 'woke'.

A very wise man once said – I’m not an animal – I’m a human being.

There are people that will tell you Trump’s cuts to food programs were just trimming the fat from the budget. But I don’t think they were I think the cuts had alternative motives – like make Trump’s person Federal piggy bank bigger (so who is the animal now).

I can not imagine how it must feeling to have a school lunch sandwich one day – then no sandwich the next day - and no future sandwiches in site.

A sandwich can be brain food and maybe one of the kids Trump took sandwiches away from would of one day solved the Cold fusion problem. But thanks to Trump they were too hungry to do the math – so we all loose. Cheers and happy weekend!

My state provides free breakfast and lunch for every student. No one has to prove they need it or deserve it. It benefits the children, the schools, the parents, and the community. In my opinion that is what government should be doing.

It is proven that well-fed children learn better than those who are hungry.  No surprise that you can't concentrate on studies when your stomach is growling.  That should be the case in every state's school.

Trump's government would likely rather hand out bullets and a cross than food.

Yesterday, a MAGA senator was told by a constituent at a Town Hall, that cutting Medicaid benefits meant people would die. Her response? ' We're all gonna die anyway. ' True story.

Yep, seen it making the rounds. Just another day under the big top of nonsense, starring Ringmaster Trump and his troupe of uncaring clowns.

That’s horrible. Hope she looses her seat in the midterm election (if her seat is up for vote). Cheers and happy weekend!

Here is her 'apology '. I'm not even sure what she's saying. She plans to run for re-election in 2026 and I also hope she loses.

Her apology is as horrible as her compassion for others. Wondering what she meant by the tooth fairy. I think she meant the tooth fairy isn’t real and the chances of people dying from the cuts to medicare isn’t real – so why should she bother talking about it. Cheers and happy weekend!

If you look closely, she appears to be videoing in a cemetery to emphasize her point that everyone dies.

It does look like a cemetery – and it probably was to make her every one dies point. I also noticed that she made sure to mention that the woman was extremely distrait and screaming - bet that was to make the woman look bad. I also bet if we were to see the full video the woman wouldn’t be as distrait and screaming like the senator says. Cheers!

Thanks for the video.   She made a dumb comment, that she as a seasoned politician should have know better.

But as she said, the "cuts" are removing people who should not have been on the program to start with.

Yes, a dumb comment that showed her true feelings about human beings. And her 'apology' made that clear and also made clear her feelings about the intelligence of her constituents.

No, her constituents know exactly what and how she meant it.  I do not believe she is in any danger next election.

MAID is not just for " poor people”.

It is offerd to anybody (with a sound mind) that are in an advanced state of decline that cannot be reversed. And they are experience unbearable physical or mental suffering from an illness, disease, disability or state of decline that cannot be relieved.

Yes it is offered to those with a fatal disease etc.

BUT it is also offered to the POOR just for being poor. If their financial status is just too much for them.
Or if someone loses a limb etc but is otherwise healthy is offered MAID.....it is a ridiculous program and devalues human life.
