Will a spatula be all the school supplies a school kid needs in the future?

As parents make their shopping lists for the 2025-26 school year, rising costs fueled by Trump’s tariffs are at the top of their mind. Parents are feeling the strain on their wallets as they prepare for this upcoming school year with 85% of Americans expressing concerns about tariffs impacts on rising prices and 7 in 10 parents expecting to spend more than they did the year before.

And I don’t think Trump cares about that. As long as they are smart enough to flip burgers for the 1% Trump will be happy.

Meanwhile in other news:

Trump just hung a new portrait in the WH – and the artist said more are on the way.

Cheers!

There will be plenty of fruit-picking, chicken-plucking and day labor jobs that will need to be filled when we finish all the deportations. No need to get a high-skilled job like those at McDonald's.

Did you see the portrait he hung in the First Ladies gallery where Hillary Clinton's was? I wish I was joking.

I got a feeling that Trump is or he is planing to deport the people from the homeless camps he is getting rid of. His portrait looks more like a cheep 70’s black light poster – the man has no taste. Cheers!

Just dawned on me that you said - First Ladies gallery. So now I am wondering if before Trump hung up his poster was the gallery  just of first ladies. If so that’s pretty weird of Trump. Cheers!

I may have misspoke. I don't know if there is actually a First Ladies Gallery,  but his picture is hanging between Laura Bush and Pat Nixon in the spot where there used to be a portrait of Hillary Clinton.

I bet Trump takes no care to insure that the portraits are in place were they won’t get moldy or sun damaged. Cheers!

Well,  he put Obama's in a dark hallway, so maybe he is concerned about sun damage.

Maybe - but it’s more likely he smeared a bit of cheese on it hoping rats will destroy it.

Oopsy daisy Hillary’s portrait has mold and Obama’s has rabies - now we will have to destroy them for public safety. Trump is a spiteful man so I have to wonder what portrait will be next. My bet is Michelle Obama but because Trump is spiteful child he will make sure her portrait is not stored in the same hallway as her husbands. He might even get extra spiteful and extra childish and make sure the 2 portraits are stored in 2 different hallways in 2 different wings of the WH. Cheers!

Maybe he will decide to put some relevant portraits in the Oval Office.

Thought I would add another example of Trump’s poor taste. Cheers!

    I have no words, either.

EDIT: Just, for ease of visualization for me  for where my comment ended up on the page -  my comment is for your original answer and picture. :)

When I was young, my father said
"Son, I have something to say"
And what he told me, I'll never forget
    Until my dyin' day

He said, "Son, you are a spatula boy
And that's the way to stay
Son, you be a spatula boy
    Until your dyin' day"

When I was sixteen, I fell in love
With a girl as sweet as can be
But I remembered just in time
What my daddy said to me

He said, "Son you are a spatula boy
And that's the way to stay
Son, you be a spatula boy
    Until your dyin' day"

    That’s a catchy tune.
My oldest son was a happy spatula boy for a few years. He has a government job now - but when he BBQ’s Spatula boy comes out. Cheers!
