    I had 2 cats.  They both died in 2023 (one in February; from cancer, the other in May; from old age)

    Yes, one Shitzu.  He is 4 years old. We also have one long hair black cat.

    I do. We took in a fast and friendly stray, who later had six puppies. She's now spayed, and we're planning to take the others as well. 

    Unless I misread the question, because it's "do I own my dog?" Well, as with pets in general, it's more like the other way around.

    Thank you for including all kinds of pets.

    My preference in pets -- cats --  always seem to get the "I-Own-the-Human" classification.

    And dogs always get the lovely "Man's Best Friend."  

    Hey, with any kind of pet,  for me, we're all best friends.  :)

    The dogs are for raging extroverts. Mans best friend but, life's a contradiction about. Over blatherskites, social gadflys, flibertigibets raging extroverts. Roof roof roof roof! MY quiet artist friend bought a barkless ones..umm..umm..Basenji.
