Globalization vs Nationalism. I didn't know that was a thing..

Hello:

I LOVE America..  I went to war for her.  I love BEING an American..  But, I wouldn't MIND being a World Citizen.  Would you?   What would I lose other than what I call myself?

Oh yes, one world order is on it's way..eventually.  I'm so grateful the Lord held back the darkness for a little while longer.  Remember this...if you are ever pushed into taking a mark to buy or sell, don't do it, No matter what, if you do, you will die an eternal death.  (look it up in the Bible)  There will come a time even discussing it will no longer be a possibility unless it's done in secret.    This post was edited by Sunshine at November 20, 2016 7:10 AM MST

    Hello S:

I get that you don't LIKE it, but tell me what's WRONG with it.

  • 1) What system would the World Government be?

    2) China gets all the Global Electoral Votes

    3) Other countries don't want our culture This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 20, 2016 8:05 AM MST

    Hello Mr:

    1)  If there was only one government, the objective, and the ONLY objective would be to make it work.

    2)  There wouldn't BE a China.

    3)  The world culture will be the WORLD'S - not ours.

    1) The only way it could be made to "work" is with an authoritarian iron fist.

    2) China would still exist CULTURALLY. It has no spirit of liberty. It's corrupt as hell. It would continue to exert a negative effect.

    3) The world culture would suck! Our culture is superior so why adulterate it?

  • Superior? How
    Why adulterated it?  With what?
This says more about you than it does about globalism and multiculturalism.

  • 1) Ok. How does a world government work? Independent "Earth states" and a "Fedearl Earth" government? A king? The U.N.? Global oligarchs? What is the system?

    2) You want to obliterate a country and it's culture? That isn't very nice. They probably won't like that.

    3) What would a world culture look like? We can't even decide what to call Christmas. Do you know how many holidays India has? They're not giving that up.

    Hello again, Mr.

Ok..  I'll give this ONE more try..  But, I'm NOT interested in dancing around la la land with you..

    1)  I dunno WHAT the world government would look like, and I don't care..  I care about what it would ACCOMPLISH.

         a)  In truth, when there aren't border disputes, and there aren't wars, world government won't have a whole lot to do.

    2)  I don't wanna obliterate ANYTHING.  Focus please.

    3)  The world culture would look like my neighborhood in Seattle.  We got Jews, we got black people, we got Vietnamese..   We even got a few Christians..  In short, we got LOTS a culture..

         a)  See paragraph 2 above.

  • 1) You can accomplish a lot of things in a lot of different ways. It is weird you only care about the result.

    2) "There wouldn't BE a China"

    3) The "world culture" already looks like that if "neighborhoods" were countries. And I'm glad you like "your neighborhood". You seem to be proud of "your neighborhood" and "your city". That's good.

    Hello again, t:

It's NOT a dream of mine.  I didn't mention a preference..  It's simply the natural progression of things since the cave man days.   In fact, progress can be measured by HOW many borders have been destroyed..

  • What if Russia and China had more "Global Electoral Votes"? Or Saudi Arabia decided what women can wear? Northern and Southern states barely get along. The Midwestern states are distrustful of Coastal City States. You think people want people they have nothing in common with making laws for them half way around the world? They barely want people in their own country making laws for them. States' Rights is STILL being argued.

    Hello again, Mr.

For the very reasons you cite, there won't BE a world government tomorrow.

But, I remind you - those very SAME reasons were the ones the Shaman used when he counseled the Chief to KEEP his tribes borders..  If the Shaman had won, we'd still be living in huts..

  • I think the Shaman was tripping in the cave doodling on the walls. Then he was probably killed by the other tribe when their Shaman came out of tripping in their cave and told them he had a vision of them conquering the other tribe.

I don't know. I wasn't there. WERE YOU? Are you a trippy Shaman? WOW!

I will never pledge allegiance to any global government. I will never pledge allegiance to any other than God. I will never take a mark on/in/under my skin to participate in the economy.

What is wrong with world government? We know power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Why would we ever trust a person with that much power. What happens when there is only one military and they answer to one commander in chief? Then the person who gains power ends up someone like Hitler.

And you are scared of Trump? There is one coming who is much worse than Trump. And Bible says 1/3 of mankind will die. He will be the leader of the world government you seem to be longing for.

Ahhhh, that's what that mark thing was about..  I thought he was talking about the currency...  My question was NOT about religion, so I'm NOT gonna discuss religion..

"That the devil is gonna be running it, isn't a good answer"

It's an excellent answer. Humans are scum. The devil already runs every nation on the planet to a greater or lesser extent. A world government would just consolidate power for him. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at November 20, 2016 8:03 AM MST

God and the devil have zero to do with our inability to even consider such a prospect at this juncture.

Yes, it is easy to see we are MILES away from uniting.  We cannot even get along with Mexico.  That is part of our continent.  We cannot even get along with each other.

We don't know how.  It has nothing to do with God or the Devil.

Why don't you blame it on the bossanova and stop telling us that we are all not praying the same?

God wants us to lead our own affairs down here, My 2.  God was just fine and dandy guiding you when you see God acting in your own interests.

God says render unto Ceasar.  Remember?   Do you know what that means?

And since there has never been even a scintilla of a model as to what global ANYTHING to do with cooperation is concerned, I think your fear of absolute power is ridiculous.

You vote for that pig and you are worried about Hitler and yet you voted for Hitler and by the way?  What happened in World War II had no resemblance to world power on any level

There can never be a world power because we don't even know how to cooperate with each other in one city much less a state or a globe.  Don't worry.  Not happening.  Not in 10 decades, not in 10 centuries probably.

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's means pay your taxes.
You really believe there are no global anything. Look at our economy...all are tied together. We have international courts, we have the UN.
    Globalization began along time ago.

The fight against globalism is everything. EVERYTHING...

You say you wouldn't mind being a global citizen because you have a completely idealized view of what that is. You should realize that America is exceptional, not normal. Any global government would cause your culture to be merged with inferior cultures and everything that makes it great would be lost.

The U.S., and Europe sure aren't perfect but we more or less invented liberty. Most of the rest of the world still sucks. You can't just get in bed with cultures that have no history of liberty and expect a good outcome. We will just be dragged down by them economically and culturally.

Even if, at some point in the future, the whole world does embrace western values, world government is still a very bad idea. The west is far and away the most civilized culture on the planet, though we're not perfect and we're not truly free. The only reason the powers that be give us some liberty is because it makes us more productive. They use us to compete economically and militarily with other elites. The moment that conflict ends and the world comes together, humans cease to have much function. The powers that be would reduce the world population by about 95% to save resources, probably by genocide, and treat the remainder like garbage. It would just be a boot stamping on the face of humanity forever.

Nation states are the only way to create a balance of power in the world. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at November 20, 2016 2:56 PM MST

    Hello again, Trumptastic:

I just don't buy your characterization about "inferior" cultures.   It's certainly a Trump worldview..

It's MY worldview, that if we make war on 1.5 BILLION people, we're gonna lose - BIGLY..
