Personally I do not think it was as simple, cut and dried as the media is laying it out to be. Here you had Donald J Trump who was the antithesis of the entire Republican AND Democratic establishment and quickly garnered tremendous support from the disenfranchised Rust Belt and Midwest workers who have been cast aside by Obama's policies and neglect. Sugar coated State of the Union addresses were no longer sufficient tonic to salve the wounds of those who lost jobs and were cast aside by Obamas regulations and policies that lost jobs by the millions. They heard the voice of real change not being sold on the dream of hope the was Obama sold it. Hillary failed MISERABLY to realize this need of her voters yet Trump did...he IMO did not lie he vocalized a clear difference in the path he could take our country over where the business as usual anoint me now rhetoric of Ms Clinton....She lost, she failed on many levels to connect with the real reasons you, I and the everyday middleclass voter wanted from their candidate. Trump smashed it on so many levels...destroyed the Republican Party as we know it and even more so eviscerated the Democratic party. The danger here is to say Trump did this....all he did was give voice to the ISSUES we all face and some are very afraid of....WE/they voted for Trump for this very reason. Time for the losers of this election to realize the intense dynamics in play that enabled a Trump to be elected and either accept this new normal or dig in deep and fight that much harder for the changes you feel are more important that our country is up against. But the shot is out over the bow that free Government cheese will be in a much shorter supply with Trump running the country and time to pull up your boot straps and get out and make your own lives great again.

Cruiser is correct. Trump sold the above narrative beautifully. The Democratic Party's inability to realize that Americans really ARE stupid enough to buy this bulls**t (and provide a compelling counter-narrative) is why HRC kinda lost the election.
Meanwhile at last count Hillary has over 2 million more popular votes than PET. Which means the person the majority of folks DID NOT WANT will be prez. Please tell me why that makes any sense at all OS because if the shoe were on the other foot you know how much PET would be squealing! Mahalo for your reply! :)
Personally Rosie I think Trump would be relieved if he lost the election. Either way we all know at least we do by now that the electoral college elects the President and in that arena Trump decimated Hillary....no other way to characterize it than pure landslide> A comeback landslide the like of which have never been seen before. As hard as she, the Democrats and Republicans tried, as much as they lied about Trump....they failed miserably and exactly why Trump won. People who voted for Trump are not stupid and not the sheeple that voted for Hillary. In the end the smart people won not because they voted for Trump....they didn't vote for Hillary and our country will be infinitely greater because we/they did. Just watch m'dear.
I answered in this manner directed to the question not to YOU, Rosie. I am so used to you not addressing me, personally, that I just say whatever it is I am thinking. I don't think you are out of your mind. I do think that anyone that agrees with that stance IS out of their minds. I know you write questions to get reactions. So, sorry. If you do decide to reply again, I will speak directly to YOU and not be so ascerbic in my responses.

That could be Rosie. I think it was a big joke to him and was just as big a shock to him for winning just as big a shock for the rest of us. He never thought he would win with all the crazy stuff he said. He was wrong about how stupid people are that voted for him.

Since the election he has only made time for two security briefings from the Intelligence Community Tom. They are supposed to be daily. That worries me. He can't be bothered? What is more important than the security of the United States? Isn't that his primary job? To keep America safe? If not, what is?
