Dear blind Right-Wing TeaBag denialists: Let's hear your studied argument as to why it is okay for Trump not to show us his income tax returns? Because he is NOT Hillary?

If she dared to pull this one, Trump would be all over it.

How come he gets a free pass?

Because they fear the skeletons in the closet, and their hate towards HRC is bigger than their acknowledging that he is what he is, a doubtful sales man.

I think it's okay for Trump because his 'dishonesty' is in the category of 'businessman' and He is up front about making deals and negotiating better deals. He should of course be transparent now and publish his tax returns because even if they are a shade dodge, we will let him away with it

The people will never get full disclosure of any politicians taxes due to brilliant tax attorneys, which is good for Hillary too. She most likely won't have to explain how she acquired almost 50 million dollars on a small 6 figure salary.

  • Sure right after you explain why it's ok for Hillary to get off free sending thousands of classified emails with "I didn't know any better!"

The release of tax returns is not a requirement for being a candidate for POTUS.

I really don't care as people with the money these two have are perfectly capable of painting whatever picture they please, paperwork games don't impress me.

Why is it that people support behaviors in the favored candidate that they'd never overlook in their opposition, I don't know. All I know is it happens quite a bit on all sides and if people spent half as much time subjecting their own chosen ones to such scrutiny as they do others, our choices would be more appealing as a whole.

  • I think the corporate tax returns would be much more interesting.  However, I doubt there would be any sign of illegal activity regardless of whether corporate or personal tax returns were examined.  Trump may or may not be an idiot, but his accountants certainly are not.

My suspicion is that Trump will resist showing any sort of financial details for the simple reason that doing so will demonstrate that a good percentage of his 'wealth' is actually his own estimation of his own brand name.

Not only will he not show his tax returns, but he hasn't even been vetted by the Republican Party. They have to do that before he is allowed to be the presidential nominee.

He doesn't show his income tax returns because he doesn't have that much income, plus he probably hadn't paid any taxes, the last few years.

And being the person he is, he doesn't play by the rules. That is why he is going to lose. He is a loser.

OS, if you ever get around to this thread and find this latest message, (I hate this set up, I really miss this part of Answer Bag)   you may recall that a lot of these backpeddling cowards (the GOP who changed their minds about liking Trump) are doing just that now; i.e., they don't want Trump as their guy.

Denying the Donald is what I am seeing on the TV these past several days at least.  He is too "uncouth" for them.   What good is he if he is just going to run roughshod over them?   They want control and he is not giving them what they want, which would be his loyalty.  He's too much of a maverick.   If they cannot control him, they may as well have Hillary, no?  At least she is kind of predictable in what she does.  Like if she says she is going to do something, she probably will keep to that agenda or explain why.  NOT TRUMP.  He is "flighty".  LOL

The articles point out that Trump is not a true conservative. They support him because they see him as anti-establishment, not because of his beliefs. Some will support him because he's not Hillary. There are plenty of tea party members who won't support Trump, but a lot of Sanders supporters will.

  • Something as small as Trump's tax is under fire but Hillary's emails which could have put America in jeopardy is not. I find honesty lacking on all sides.. can't lead by example if you are not leading with your own advice :)
