What agency can I call if relatives overstay their welcome? (I'm going to see if it works with these stubborn Notifications that just won't

go away.)

Invite the neighborhood kids over...all of them and their parents...every day.  Make sure you provide a drum set for the youngest.  hahaha
What would work much better is let them know you have prior commitments and it is time to go.
    Gently....

None of that will work with the Notifications.

Yes; that's the entire point of the question.

If someone doesn't leave when you ask them to it is criminal trespass.  Call the police.

    Will that work with Notifications?

With a witness that you asked them to leave it stands on its own with or without "Notifications."  I don't know what Notifications are.

You're taking the post more seriously than is necessary; it's purely tongue-in-cheek.  AnswerMug Notifications are the feature that lets you know that there is a response to a post you've either initiated or participated in.

I thought you meant Eviction Notices.  I had a son-in-law who refused to leave my rental house where he had previously rented.  I thought you were talking about a similar situation.

Hahaha. This question didn't go as planned, now did it?  I understood the gist though.

I think what's just as frustrating is when you have multiple unread Notifications, let's say 2, and you only have time to read one of them. When you click out, it should now indicate that you have 1 Notification remaining, right?  Two minus one equals 1.  But noooooo, it shows you have NO Notifications. Why oh why does it do this???

I have the opposite problem: there will be ten notifications, I'll click the first one, read the post, go back to Notifications, and it's still there. I click it again, sometimes three or four times in succession, before it finally goes away. Then, after fighting through six or seven more the same way, old ones that previously disappeared will pop up again!

(You're right, the question didnt quite go as planned. When are people going to stop taking me so seriously? Lol!)

The theory behind it is that it should let you know what is new since the last time you looked via the red indicator. In theory, the ones you click on should disappear and I believe they do leave the drop down menu, but they don't leave the notifications page like they ought to. Hopefully, you know that you've only looked at one of your notifications and don't need a reminder to go back, but following the list when the notifications don't leave is confusing. That page should remove notifications after you've seen them and it did at one point, but something broke the code around the time we brought everyone here.

I think it got broken the night the police came and forceably evicted Randy's grandma and grandpa.  Rumor has it that it wasn't a pretty sight, with granny screaming and cussin' at Randy. I bet she even kicked that code on purpose, not that I blame her.

Hey, how did I get roped into this?  I've never evicted my grandparents, you have me confused with someone else!

I've lived my life, off and on, in a state of confusion. However, in this particular instance, no confusion exists. I'd like to draw your attention to the question you posted pertaining to family members who out stay their welcome.  Most of those replying KNEW you were referring to ways of removing them and offered suggestions. I happened to be the one of the few that mistakingly thought you meant Notifications.  That being said, I can't believe you would do that to your Meemah and Peepah.  You should be ashamed of yourself and reimburse JA for the broken code granny kicked when she was lead away in handcuffs.
